English is no more a second language. It has now become a foreign language. So don't think yourself as slow in learning English. I know it is not easy especially when you do not have much exposure to it as compared to some other people. I don't think you are slow. But, what you do need to do is to never give up and begin exposing yourself to English. Reading easy stories first, then go on to harder and more difficult ones. That is how my youngest son learn to speak and read in English. Now he is talking and made friends with 'anak anak matsallehs'. Exose yourself to more English from now on.
